The Natural Hazards Center encourages our constituents to inform us of additional information resources related to natural hazards and disasters that we have missed.

Here are brief descriptions of the information resources regularly updated on our Web site. For more specific and timely information, subscribe to our publications the Natural Hazards Observer and the Disaster Research e-newsletter. The listing of external Web links does not constitute endorsement by the Natural Hazards Center or the University of Colorado of the Web sites or the information, products, or services found within.

Library and HazLib Library Catalog
A nonlending library that houses over 28,000 items related to research and information on the social science dimensions of natural hazards, disasters, and risk. HazLib, an online library catalog, allows users to search the library's full collection. The library also conducts extensive custom searches of its collection for a fee.

Upcoming Conferences
A list of upcoming conferences and meetings related to hazards and disasters that is searchable by month.

Selected Web Resources
An annotated index of some of the more useful disaster Web sites that we have encountered.

Annotated Bibliographies
A collection of six annotated bibliographies on numerous topics, including public hazards communication, pandemic, interoperability, and more

Hazards Centers and Organizations
A quick reference to many of the U.S. and international organizations dealing with hazards and disasters. The directory is divided into five sections: domestic organizations, academic institutions, state and regional agencies and organizations, U.S. government agencies, and international and overseas organizations.

Recently Awarded Grants for Hazards/Disaster Research
A list of recently awarded grants involving hazards/disaster research. Included is the grant title, name of the granting organization, amount and duration of the grant, and the name of and contact information for the principle investigator. Information on grants awarded for each year back to 1995 is also available.

Education and Training
A select list of institutions that offer ongoing training programs in hazards and disaster management. Disaster Grads Listserv
An e-mail listserv for informal discussion and information sharing among undergraduate and graduate students who do research in the area of hazards and disasters.
