Eleanore Kim Cassel
Eleanore Kim Cassel is a professor and extension specialist at South Dakota State University (SDSU). With over 27 years of experience, she has served as extension dairy specialist at the University of Maryland and South Dakota State University, and was the program leader for Agriculture and Natural Resources and Field Operations at SDSU.
Cassel currently has an active role in the Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) leading the Avian Influenza/H1N1/Swine Influenza Response Team. She has provided leadership for the public education committee of a five-way partnership to develop a pandemic/all disasters plan for Brookings County, South Dakota and the surrounding region. The public education committee developed a campaign which includes a community based web site called BeReadyBrookings.com. Cassel is the author of the EDEN West Nile Virus Topic page.
