Lori Vun Kannon is the assistant director of emergency management for the Seminole Tribe of Florida. She is on the current Board of Directors for the Florida Governor’s Hurricane Conference and is past president of the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association.

Vun Kannon has 18 years in the field of emergency management, working as the assistant director for emergency operations in county governments that encompass 31 municipalities. She has assisted in nine presidential emergency declarations and numerous undeclared storms in Broward County, Florida. She has also worked as a hazard mitigation specialist and grants administrator for Federal Emergency Management Agency for Hurricane Andrew at the Disaster Field Office in Miami.

Vun Kannon is a University of Florida graduate and attended the Florida Atlantic University Urban & Regional Planning master’s program.
