Theorizing Disaster Recovery?

Tue. 9:00-10:30 a.m., Interlocken B

Last November, the Public Entity Risk Institute held a National Science Foundation-supported recovery theory workshop. The participants grappled with producing a more holistic recovery theory, building on prior efforts to craft globally applicable interpretations of disaster recovery in light of new knowledge from Hurricane Katrina and other recent events. This session will discuss utility, progress, and possibilities and highlight constraints affecting this objective.
