Allison Boyd
Allison Boyd is the Planning Manager at CSA International, Inc., specializing in hazard mitigation and disaster recovery planning for local and state government agencies. In the past several years, she managed the Post-Disaster Redevelopment Planning Initiative in Florida. Her work on this program included conducting research on long-term community recovery from disasters and developing guidelines for local government post-disaster redevelopment plans (PDRPs). She drafted PDRPs for Palm Beach County, Hillsborough County, and Sarasota County, and provided technical assistance in the development of four others for Florida counties. For the culmination of the project, Boyd authored a guidebook describing how to develop an interjurisdictional long-term recovery plan before a disaster occurs.
Currently, she is working on a post-disaster business recovery plan for Seminole County, Florida. Boyd also works on various other hazard mitigation planning projects including community wildfire protection plans and sea level rise adaptation.
