Jesus DelgadoJesús Delgado

Jesús Delgado Villasmil is a geographer from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV). He has ample experience in risk management, with training on vulnerability, spatial planning of disaster, and risk management.

Delgado has coordinated various projects on urban vulnerability, risk management, and environmental impact, including the study of urban vulnerability of watersheds of Vargas in Venezuela’s Vargas State. He was principal investigator of the urban vulnerability study of the Guaire River North Basin, in the context of risks Avila map project.
Delgado is a lecturer at the Centre of Integral Environmental Studies, which coordinates the professional training course on reduction of socio-natural risks and technology in environmental management.

Delgado is also a lecturer in the faculty of architecture. He currently coordinates the Community of Practice Project for Disaster Risk Management in agreement with Florida International University.
