Charles Little

Charles Little has been involved in emergency response since his time as an emergency medical technician and wildfire fighter in western Colorado in the 1970s. After working as a paramedic for the City and County of Denver, he attended medical school at Des Moines University. He attended a residency in emergency medicine and fellowship in cardiac arrest research at The Ohio State University.

He currently is an associate professor of emergency medicine at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD). He is the medical director for emergency preparedness at both University Hospital and the UCD Center for Integrated Disaster Health Preparedness. Little is chief medical officer for the federal Disaster Medical Assistance Team CO-2. His research includes information technology support in disasters, emergency planning, and regional disaster preparedness.
