Gary Webb is an associate professor of sociology at Oklahoma State University. His research focuses on organizational preparedness for and response to disasters in both the public and private sectors. He is particularly interested in the role of flexibility and improvisation in enhancing the effectiveness of disaster responses. He has been invited to present his research to international audiences in Denmark, France, The Netherlands, and Turkey. Additionally, he has taught emergency management courses at the Korean National Fire Service Academy.
