Nonprofits in Natural Hazards Preparedness and Response

This panel will focus on recent research on integrating nonprofit organizations with emergency preparedness and response activities. Topics will include tensions between traditional disaster nonprofits and newer organizations trying to establish hazard management roles, opportunities created by incorporating nonprofits with hazard management, and obstacles and challenges to that incorporation.
