Chasing Ice, a 2012 documentary about award-winning environmental photographer James Balog and the project he initiated, the Extreme Ice Survey, features riveting and unforgettable images of glaciers in retreat and massive ice melts. The film is both educational and emotionally compelling, offering clear evidence of a planet in crisis due to global warming. Chasing Ice has won numerous awards for documentary film-making, including an award for cinematography at the Sundance Film Festival, and was shown at the White House on Earth Day 2013.
