Pamela W. Bourg, RN, MS, FAEN was appointed Director of the Trauma Program at St. Anthony Hospital, Lakewood, CO in July 2009. Ms. Bourg is an experienced healthcare manager with more than twenty years’ progressive clinical, administrative and educational experience in emergency settings in both for profit and not for profit organizations.

Prior to her appointment at St. Anthony Hospital, she served as the Trauma Program Manager for St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver, Colorado from August 2005-July 2009. In her career, she has also served in roles such as Head Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, Administrator and Trauma Nurse Clinical Specialist.

Ms. Bourg earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Louisiana State University, and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Boston University. She is a certified TNCC, ENPC, BLS, PALS, ATLS and RTTDC instructor. She is a published author in publications such as the Journal of Emergency Nursing, Journal of Trauma, Trauma Quarterly, as well as emergency nursing textbooks.

She was inducted as a Fellow of Academy of Emergency Nursing in September 2011 for her enduring and substantial contributions to emergency nursing. She is a member the Society of Trauma Nurses, Academy of Emergency Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society. She has been an active member of Copper Mountain Ski Patrol for over 20 years.

She is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing from University of Arizona.
