Christopher Doyle joined REGAL in 2012 from the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate where he was the Director of the Infrastructure Protection and Disaster Management Division. In this role, he directed research and development efforts to identify and mitigate the vulnerabilities of critical infrastructure to disasters or terrorist attacks as well as enhancing disaster preparedness and performance. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in August of 2007. Doyle’s government service began with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Washington, DC, where he developed disaster assistance policy and managed recovery efforts. For his efforts to relocate disaster victims from tents to trailers during Hurricane Andrew, Doyle received special recognition from President Bush, as well as, a special distinction award from the FEMA Director. Doyle went on to manage recovery efforts in several disasters, including the Northridge Earthquake, where he administered $6 billion in recovery grants. In 2000, Mr. Doyle was appointed by the FEMA Director to lead the Office of Corporate Affairs where he successfully initiated and coordinated numerous partnering arrangements between FEMA and the private sector to provide enhanced disaster protection at the local level. In 2003, Doyle was asked to assist in standing up the newly-created S&T Directorate in DHS. Doyle currently leads REGAL’s Washington, D.C. office, supporting domestic and international clients in creating and assessing emergency preparedness plans and integrating technology to facilitate decision making.
