Head Shot Victoria Johnson

Vicki Johnson is an American PhD student in Emergency Management at Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand. Johnson recently spent 18 months in New Zealand, where she prepared original research on disaster education for children as an Ian Axford Fellow in Public Policy. Previously she was Policy Director of the National Commission on Children and Disasters, a two-year Congressional Commission that prepared two reports for President Obama and Congress with more than 100 evidence-based policy recommendations for improving emergency preparedness, response and recovery to better meet the needs of children. Johnson has a B.A. in Government from Cornell University and a MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
