Joseph Martin
Joseph Martin III is a February 2013 graduate of American Military University, with an M.A. in Emergency and Disaster Management. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Texas State University-San Marcos. His thesis research, as well as ongoing work, explores the use of bibliometric methods to understand the structure and evolution of EDM. Since 2009, he has been a volunteer for the North Texas Region of the American Red Cross, specializing in Disaster Assessment (DA), and is currently the Information and Planning Group’s Volunteer Partner for Special Projects. He has served as a DA Supervisor on multiple local and national operations, including the April 26-27, 2011 Tornado Outbreak, and 2012’s TS Debbi. Mr. Martin hopes to soon continue pursuing his research interests at the doctoral level, and is currently looking into possible programs.
