Mimi Perreault
Mimi Wiggins Perreault is a PhD candidate at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Perreault studies the news coverage of natural disasters and disaster warning messages. Her recent work concerns the local news coverage of the Joplin Tornado, and audience perceptions of the newly updated National Weather Service Tornado Warning Messages. Perreault has a M.A. in Communication, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Journalism from Baylor University. She has worked as a multimedia journalist at Agence France Presse and The Palm Beach Post.
