Yu Xiao

Xiao joined the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M University as Assistant Professor in the fall of 2008. She is also a faculty fellow of the Hazard Reduction & Recovery Center, Texas A&M University. Her research interests include urban economic development, economic resiliency and adjustment, and disaster management. Her recent research includes examination of community resiliency after 2008 hurricane Ike and study of intergovernmental disaster management framework for post-2008 Wenchuan Earthquake recovery in China. Dr. Xiao received Mary Fran Myers Scholarship in 2007.
