Santa Rosa County Emergency Management

Daniel Hahn is the Plans Section Chief for the Santa Rosa County Florida, Division of Emergency Management, the Citizen Corps coordinator, and the coordinator of SAFER Santa Rosa, the county Community Organization Active in Disaster. Hahn spent 22 years in the United States Army prior to starting his career in emergency management in 2006. 

Hahn was named the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association (FEPA) 2009 Emergency Management Professional of the year. Daniel is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) through International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM). Hahn earned his master’s degree in emergency and disaster management with American Military University, graduating with honors. He also has an MBA with a specialization in homeland security policy and leadership. 

Hahn is a member of the Editorial work group for IAEM. He is also on the editorial advisory board for Continuity Insights magazine, and the editorial board of the Journal of Business Continuity and Emergency Planning. Daniel also serves on the board of Bridges Out of Poverty, and Healthy Start. Daniel teaches emergency management courses online for three institutes of higher learning, and is the Academic Coordinator for the BSEM program at Barry University.
