Jacqueline Snelling

Jacqueline Snelling currently serves as a senior advisor in FEMA’s Individual and Community Preparedness Division with responsibilities for research, evaluation and assessment, and initiatives to support individual and community preparedness. As part of these duties, her current responsibilities include an annual National Household Survey to improve the understanding of attitudes and behaviors for preparedness and to track changes in how the public is taking actions to prepare. She also manages FEMA's development of protective action guidance to the public through the documentation of research and recommendations for research-based updates. A key priority for this project is to engage the academic and hazard communities in research that will better inform general and hazard-specific preparedness and protective action guidance to the public. Snelling received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Harvard University.
