The session will open with remarks from Matthew Marchetti, who founded CrowdSource Rescue, which is an award-winning team that used social media to coordinate 12,000 spontaneous volunteers to rescue more than 37,000 people during the 2017 hurricane season. After Matthew shares his story, representatives of federal mission agencies will pose a series of questions to the audience regarding data needs and public-private partnerships. This portion of the program will involve a facilitated listening session where the audience will have the opportunity to respond to questions that will ultimately help improve investments in data collection, sharing, and archiving after disaster.
