Homeowners, renters, prospective homebuyers, and other residents can all benefit from learning about the disaster risks they face. Additionally, those on the periphery, such as insurance companies and mortgage lenders, are also affected by disaster losses. Regardless of stakeholder status, potential disaster impacts to properties—and what can be done about them—is critical. This session will feature panelist discussions of how such knowledge can be incorporated before homes are purchased, when disasters strike, and throughout residential systems overall.
