Sunday, July 11, 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. MDT

This session will teach responders to interact with service dogs under the rules and regulations established by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and how to use service dogs to support response missions. The training explains what service dogs are, what they do, how they contribute to individual and community resilience, and how to be an inclusive, supportive partner to those with access and functional needs. Service dogs will be included in the session to demonstrate handler technique.
