This session will officially open the 46th Annual Natural Hazards Research and Applications Workshop. We will begin with a moment of silence in honor of the more than four million lives lost globally in the pandemic. Following that, Natural Hazards Center Director Lori Peek will give brief comments and help orient you to our second virtual Natural Hazards Workshop. You will also learn important details about the virtual platform, find out more about how the program will proceed, and meet this year’s Workshop award winners.
