Driving Equitable Climate Mitigation and Adaptation

Monday, July 11, 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. MDT

U.S. Gulf Coast communities are on the frontlines of climate change. Yet, it is the underserved, overburdened, or otherwise marginalized community members that are disproportionately impacted by climate hazards and disasters. In the face of ongoing threats, enhancing the capacity of communities to mitigate, adapt, and thrive is essential for achieving improved health and resilience outcomes, particularly for those most at-risk. This panel will explore how community stakeholders are leading efforts to build local capacity and co-produce solutions that mitigate the impact of climate change along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
