Helping the Helpers: The People Behind Disaster Preparedness, Response, and Recovery

TED-Style Talks
Monday, June 15, 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. MDT
Location: Interlocken B

When disaster strikes, many community members and local organizations spring into action. These individuals bring unique experiences, relationships, and local knowledge which are incredibly valuable in times of crisis. Drawing on experiences from community leaders like chaplains, school principals, public safety officials, and neighborhood volunteers, these talks will provide insights on recognizing and adequately supporting those who help lead disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
