Bridging the Gap: Where’s the Applied Multidisciplinary Research?
Friday, 2:00-3:30 p.m., Interlocken C
Despite the acknowledged importance of multidisciplinary research projects involving social scientists, physical scientists, and engineers, there are too few shining examples of such collaboration. Panelists in this session will be asked to consider individual, organizational, and institutional changes needed to facilitate more multidisciplinary research that addresses complex hazard-related questions. The challenges of transferring this research to the stakeholder communities that need it will also be discussed.
