2007 Annual Workshop

Annual Hazards Research and Applications Workshop

Since 1975, the Natural Hazards Center has hosted an annual, invitational Hazards Research and Applications Workshop involving close to 400 federal, state, and local emergency officials; representatives of nonprofit, humanitarian organizations; hazards researchers; disaster planners for private industry; and a host of other persons dedicated to alleviating the pain and loss inflicted by disasters.

Registration for the 2007 Annual Hazards Research and Applications Workshop is now open.

Photographs and session summaries from the 2006 Annual Hazards Research and Applications Workshop, July 9-12, are now available online.

To ensure that the ideas and information generated at the workshop are not lost, the Center has archived session summaries and other workshop information on this Web site. Complete session summaries for each Hazards Research and Applications Workshop since 1995 are available online.

You may also purchase a hardcopy of the Workshop Notebook, containing the session summaries, abstracts of the hazards research presented, and descriptions of the programs and projects discussed, along with the agenda and participant list. The cost is $24, plus $5 for shipping within the United States; complete ordering information is available at our publications purchasing page. Please contact Diane Smith at diane.smith@colorado.edu for availability of previous years' notebooks.
