Mary Shaw
Mary Shaw is an urban planner whose practice most recently has focused on hazard mitigation and disaster recovery planning. Her earlier work centered on floodplain management, community economic development, and parks and recreation planning. Her research has also focused on public participation, growth management, and post-disaster
recovery.
Shaw has taught graduate planning courses covering a variety of topics including statistics and planning theory as well as undergraduate calculus. She holds a PhD in urban and regional planning and a master’s degree in mathematics.
