Sheldon Drobot
Sheldon Drobot is the scientific program manager at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, CO.
His research interests focus on the societal impacts of weather and climate, particularly as they relate to surface transportation. Research areas his team is working on include determining the viability of using vehicles as mobile weather collection platforms; developing decision-support systems to help transportation agencies better plan for and account for weather variability in their daily operations; and assessing what risk factors lead people to make choices in dangerous weather situations.
Drobot received a PhD in Atmospheric Science from the University of Nebraska in 2000.
