Shubharoop Ghosh is vice president of ImageCat, Inc., a risk management company specializing in the development and use of advanced technologies for risk assessment and reduction.

Ghosh is an expert in urban planning and GIS and has more than 10 years of experience in risk analysis and risk management studies. His previous work includes leading high-profile projects and developing, analyzing, and managing data for government, insurance, and real estate sectors. He was also instrumental in the creation of data standards for the standardized loss estimation software HAZUS, as used by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Management.

Ghosh has participated in numerous post-disaster deployments and rapid damage assessments worldwide, including hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake and Tsunami, the 2007 Southern California wildfires, and more recently, the Haiti and Chile earthquakes.

Ghosh has a master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Southern California's (USC's) School of Policy, Planning and Development. Before joining ImageCat, he worked for the Southern California Earthquake Center at USC.
