Mike Anderson
Mike Anderson currently serves as a Principle within the STARR joint venture. STARR, which is stands for theStrategic Alliance for Risk Reduction, is comprised of 4 traditional flood mapping companies that have united to collectively support FEMA’s Risk MAP Program as a Production and Technical Services provider. As part of this support, Mike has worked closely with FEMA’s Risk Analysis Division in the design and implementation of several new Risk MAP program measures and metrics. Specifically, he has worked with a dedicated and multi-disciplinary team to develop the Risk MAP “Action Measure”, which seeks to quantify the positive influence of Risk MAP projects, data, and processes for identifying and advancing local mitigation actions. The results of these efforts have yielded several program firsts, including a recently released “Mitigation Action Tracker” for managing natural hazard mitigation actions at the local, state, regional and national levels.
