Hannah Gallagher has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning and Policy with an emphasis on Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Planning. Additionally, Hannah has a minor in Spanish and has spent time living and traveling abroad. She has professional experience researching disaster recovery with a focus on the relationship between infrastructure restoration and indicators of community resilience. She has volunteered internationally on disaster risk reduction projects such as the World Health Organization: Hospitals Safe from Disasters Campaign.

With roots in the Pacific Northwest, Hannah considers herself to be a curious explorer, environmentalist, and a social justice advocate. She is interested in helping communities reduce their risk of natural disasters through creative community-based planning and mitigation strategies. In doing so, Hannah aspires to address the most pressing environmental challenges facing our planet such as climate change, energy consumption, land-use management and availability of clean safe drinking water. Hannah is also interested in promoting sustainable food and nutrition practices.
