MakiNorio Maki

Norio Maki is an associate professor of the Research Centre for Disaster Reduction Systems, DPRI, Kyoto University since 2005. His current research interests are disaster reduction planning, emergency management system, a long term recovery process from 1995 Kobe earthquake, 2004 Niigata Earthquake, and 2011 Tohoku earthquake, and crisis management. He also makes field survey about disaster response and recovery in Asian countries such as 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami. He received his B.E. in architecture in 1991 from the Kyoto University and his M.E. in architecture in 1994 from the Kyoto University. He received his PhD in computer science in 1997 from the Kyoto University.
