Ken Worman recently retired from the State of California after 34 years of public service. He served 17 years in the emergency management field with the California Emergency Management Agency. This provided opportunities to work in all aspects of emergency management, including dozens of disasters such as earthquakes, floods, wildland fires, tsunamis, and hurricanes. Ken spent the last 10 years in the hazard mitigation program, serving as the California State Hazard Mitigation Officer. He was responsible for overseeing the development of California’s Enhanced State Hazard Mitigation Plan and the review of all local hazard mitigation plans for local agencies within California.

Ken is a longtime resident of Folsom, California, and is a graduate of California State University, Chico.
