New Japanese Disaster Management Policy

The national government of Japan established the Committee for Policy Planning on Disaster Management in October 2011. The committee consisted of disaster-related ministries and disaster experts who intensively discussed the future direction of Japanese disaster management policies. The committee's final report, which was made public in July 2012, will be presented by the members of this committee in this session.
