Governance Capacity and Natural Disasters Roundtable

While natural disasters provide crucial tests for good governance, history also tells us that often we don't sufficiently understand the relationship between disaster risk management and governance. This roundtable will begin by asking the following questions:

(1) What can be learned from the successes and failures of government response to previous natural disasters?

(2) How can we build a comprehensive framework for disaster risk management and governance to build a resilient society?
