New Directions in Measuring and Evaluating Federal Preparedness Programs
Sun. 1:30-3:00 p.m., Interlocken B
For more than a decade, efforts to measure preparedness—including assessing the effectiveness of preparedness programs—have been challenging. Recently, however, accountability requirements, legislation, and advances in the science of preparedness have transformed how preparedness is understood and evaluated.
In this session, panelists from three agencies will describe thinking and practice related to measurement and evaluation of federal preparedness programs, as well as broader aspects of preparedness. Current measurement activity and gaps in measurement and evaluation efforts will be discussed.
