Eric Lovell is a doctoral candidate in the department of geography at the University of Colorado. Lovell's dissertation research engages with political ecology, science and technology studies, and GIScience/cartography to examine the spatial and temporal dimensions of livestock mobility in northern Tanzania. Eric has worked on several research projects on drought coping and has interest in livestock management in the American West. 

Eric has taught the geography department’s cartography and information design course and been a teaching assistant for several courses on nature-society geographies. He helps with the Natural Hazards Center’s geospatial and cartographic projects.
