Joseph Richmond

Joseph Richmond is chair of the Department of Health Sciences & Risk Management in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Arkansas State University, Jonesboro. Richmond began his career as a first responder, serving in law enforcement and the fire service. He transitioned into emergency management, serving as a county emergency manager and state regional coordinator before moving into higher education, where he is currently a tenured Associate Professor. His research interests are primarily in disaster recovery and public policy. He has presented and published in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary forums at the state, national, and international levels.
