The Natural Hazards Center is happy to announce that eight new projects have been funded as part of our recent Special Call for Research in U.S. Territories, Tribal Areas, and Rural Communities. Based in regions at high risk for adverse disaster impacts, these studies will develop evidence-based practices needed to improve community preparedness, resilience, and the public health response to disasters.
This is the third special call in our Public Health Disaster Research Award Program which supports teams of interdisciplinary scholars studying public health solutions to hazards in vulnerable communities across the United States. The award program was made possible with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Science Foundation.
