IAWF Student Scholarships
International Association of Wildland Fire

The International Association of Wildland Fire is accepting applications for its graduate scholarship program. Scholarship of up to $3,000 will be awarded to masters or PhD candidates in studying topics related to wildland fire. Students from a wide range of disciplines are encouraged to apply. The European Commission is offering free custom mapping services that support pre- and post-disaster emergency management through its Copernicus Emergency Management Service for Risk and Recovery Mapping. The services are available to disaster managers, civil protection agencies, and humanitarian NGOs worldwide. Gulf Research Program
Deadline: May 3, 2017
The Gulf Research program of the National Academies is calling for applications for research-practice grants on two topics: Integration of Monitoring and Evaluation into Environmental Restoration Projects to Improve Outcomes in the Gulf of Mexico and Improving Risk-Based Evaluations to Support a Public Health Response to the Next Oil Spill. All types of U.S. organizations are invited to apply for. Up to $5 million total is available for funding.
