Federico Subervi-Vélez

Federico Subervi-Vélez is an honorary/associate fellow of the Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has worked as a professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara, the University of Texas at Austin, Texas State University, and Kentucky State University. In addition, he has been a visiting professor at several universities in Latin America and Europe and a Fulbright Scholar in Brazil and Chile. In 2018, he was the Visiting Leverhulme Professor at the University of Leeds. His most recent books are about the media in Puerto Rico and he is the co-editor-in-chief of the Oxford Encyclopedia of Race, Ethnicity and Communication.
