Forrest Schalkham (they/them) works as an undergraduate research assistant at the Natural Hazards Center. Schalkham is a current junior at the University of Colorado Boulder, majoring in geophysics. They were nominated for Student Employee of the Year 2026 and have been published in the collection titled PTSD. In their free time, Schalkham enjoys reading, writing poetry, and snowboarding.
