Iain Hyde is the director of the Colorado Resiliency and Recovery Office (CRRO). In that role he leads the office’s efforts to empower Colorado communities to build stronger, safer, and more resilient in the face of natural disasters and other major social, environmental, and economic challenges. He previously served as the CRRO’s deputy director for three years, where he managed strategic projects and initiatives and coordinated interagency disaster recovery efforts following the 2013 floods. Prior to his time at the CRRO, he served as the disaster recovery manager for the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management during the record 2012 and 2013 fires and floods. Hyde has a master’s in public administration from the University of Colorado Denver and 12 years of recovery, resilience, and public policy experience.
