Jose Torres

Jose Torres is an American Institute of Certified Planners certified geographer and planner with a decade of experience in California community development. Torres' work spans municipal consulting, advocacy, and GIS analysis, with a focus on housing policy and hazard mitigation. He holds a Master's in geography and a Master's in community planning from Auburn University, where he taught global geography and managed GIS labs. Fluent in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, he serves Spanish speaking communities across California's central coast. Torres is an alumnus of the William A. Anderson Fund for Hazard & Disaster Mitigation Education and Research.
