Michael Stajura
California Conservation Corps
Mike Stajura, PhD, studied disaster sociology and public health emergencies at the University of California, Los Angeles Fielding School of Public Health. He is the incoming emergency manager for the California Conservation Corps. He is a former foster youth and homeless youth who served as a U.S. Army officer after graduating from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York. He further developed mass care and sheltering expertise as an instructor and disaster services volunteer through the American Red Cross, among other disaster volunteer experiences.
