Miranda Carver Martin is a social science researcher affiliated with the University of Florida and the Great Lakes Center for Farmworker Health and Wellbeing based at the University of Illinois Chicago. She earned her Master of Arts in anthropology in 2020 from the University of Florida and specializes in mixed-methods and community-based research projects. Carver Martin's primary topical focus is farmworker health and safety in the context of climate change, especially related to heat stress and hurricanes. She also studies social-ecological systems, including governance issues in the sustainable management of stormwater wet ponds and urban food justice.
