Sophia C Ryan

Sophia Ryan is a health geographer interested in mental and behavioral health. Her research investigates spatiotemporal patterns of mental health, mental health responses following exposure to extreme social (e.g., the COVID-19 pandemic) and natural (e.g., hurricanes) stressors and the associations between community mental health and greenspace. In her work, Ryan also aims to identify resilience factors for mental health in the context of climate change.
