Save the Children Map Guidance
Welcome to the Natural Hazards Center / Save the Children Gap Analysis Mapping Tools. These tools enable you to identify areas within the states of Arkansas and Nebraska with children under age 17 who may need assistance before, during, and after emergencies and disasters.
Various icons help you explore the map and its associated data:
The top of the box on the left side of the page -
Gives information and instructions about the tool
Lets you choose from a gallery of background maps (basemaps)
Lists the map layers available to view and query. To make a layer visible, click the box to the left of the layer name.
Lets you query the data in each map layer. To specify a layer to query, click on the arrow to the left of the current layer name and click on the layer you wish to query.
The top left of the map area –
Zooms in to view more detail
Zooms out to view a larger map extent
Goes to the original map extent
Moves to your current location
You can also use your mouse to get information by clicking on the map to retrieve information about individual features.
