Does Anybody Actually Use Disaster Research?
Wed. 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Interlocken B
If disaster research is to have true and lasting value, the proof will be in how effective it is in making people and communities safer during extreme events. One measure of effectiveness is the degree to which research findings are incorporated into the operating procedures of emergency management and other public safety organizations. This session will explore this question from a range of interdisciplinary perspectives.
