Post-Disaster Recovery: What's the Plan?

The American Planning Association is about to release updated guidance on disaster recovery and reconstruction. This panel will discuss the central issues driving this effort, including pre-event recovery planning, issues and knowledge related to the aftermath of disasters, pre-event model recovery ordinances, the relationship between resilience and the structure of local governments, and the role of the public in building a sustainable and resilient community.
